A bit more about me....

As someone who has worked (and continues to grow) through my own anxiety and fears, I have experienced the limits that worry can create in life.

Like you, anxiety has stopped me from trying new things, from meeting new people, and from being truly present in my life.

Learning and practicing effective skills have had a major positive impact in my life.  Mindfulness practices and connecting with my values have allowed me to pursue my dreams. Taking those first baby steps into my authentic self and living my passion, rather than being limited by my fears, opened a path that has brought me more joy and true fulfillment.

Helping my clients understand the why of anxiety (hint: our brains can be overly helpful) and teaching skills and tools to move beyond anxiety has been the most rewarding part of my professional career.

My hope is that we can work together to co-create an action plan that allows you to

move towards being the best, and most fulfilled, version of yourself.

I have had the honor to work with children, teens, families, and adults in pursuit of emotional health and fulfillment for over 20 years as a school counselor, a health teacher, an adoption work, and a therapist.  I love to learn and have pursued advanced education in yoga, play therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  I'll bring all of these skills and experiences together to co-create an effective plan to meet your unique needs.

I'm honored and excited to use my skills, experience and talents to help you move beyond your struggles with anxiety towards a more joy-filled life.

I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, solution focused environment

for you to learn and grow.

If you've read this far, it's probably time to take the next step.

Bachelor's of Arts- Sociology

I always loved learning about culture and history.  Sociology allowed me to learn the "why" behind how folks behaved.  During my time at UCSD I started volunteering with 5th and 6th graders, which started my path to helping others.
